Kudos to Election commission

Finally, the much hyped and awaited Tamilnadu election came to an end. The counting of the vote will happen on 13th May, 2011. There has been lot of positive that we can derive from this election

First of all, the manner in which the election commission conducted the whole process starting from the announcement of the election date till today was very commendable. Once the incumbent chief minister lamented that the state is witnessing an emergency kind of situation but it was rather the normalcy which was absent during the past election which made him comment in such a way. No cone speakers, no flashing posters and regular checking of vehicles gave the impression that this election commission is not going to budge to any pressure. Overall, it was a heartening development in the state, which one hope will spill over to the country, that will give us a chance to become a developed country in the near future.

There were so many pre-election prediction that made rounds all over the media. Its my turn to give some predictions too. If one goes by the mood of the voters and the pulse of the election, it looks like the AIADMK combine will win 151 seats, DMK will win 80 seats and rest for the independents. The actual figures will emerge on the 13th of May, 2011 until then we just have give this election hype a break. Kudos to the election commission and especially to the CEC as well as the state election commissioner, we are proud of you.
